In 2004, he achieved international stardom playing the protagonist Miguel Arango in the Mexican telenovela Rebelde, which spanned the pop musical group RBD (2004–09). Herrera was one of the six lead singers in the group, which was successful in Latin America, USA and Europe, was nominated twice to the Latin Grammy Award and sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. In 2009, he starred in the Venezuelan film Venezzia, the Mexican series Mujeres Asesinas and the Mexican telenovela Camaleones.

Is a mexican dubbing actor and announcer who began his career on January 15, 1998. Many of his first works were in Audiomaster 3000, forming part of SITATYR at that time. His first regular star role was Leo Corbett / Red Galaxy Ranger in Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy, directed by Rocío Prado in Audiomaster 3000. He studied at the American Primary School (EPA), then he attended high school at the Salesian College in Mexico City and then entered the College of Sciences and Humanities on the south campus of UNAM where he finished high school. His preparation took as its course the University Autónoma Metropolitana, where he studied a degree in Graphic Design, but specialized in the areas of Acting, active drama, radio soap opera, production, singing, voice and diction, etc; focusing his histrionic profile towards the graduates in orthophony, phonetics, phonoarticulation, expression, narration, chronicle and story, Cos Art method, etc, in order to work in a professional and academic way before the microphones in dubbing, commercial speech and speech of cabin. He has more than 20 years working for the main advertising agencies and production houses in radio, television and film commercials in the Mexican Republic. Since then he became interested in music, painting and literature, which led him to study French Literature at UNAM, completing his bachelor's and master's degrees in that specialty. Since 2007, he has published several books in the genres of novel, short story, essay and theater. His book "La vida escondida" was still included in the list of the best books of the year 2016 by journalist Sergio González Rodríguez, published by the newspaper Reforma in Mexico. In 2011 he announced his retirement from dubbing to dedicate himself fully to his literary career.
