What overlaps or changes?
Volume 5 begins before the season ends and continues past it. Starting at the first page of the book will repeat part of the finale; chapter 39 is the continuation bookmark.
Should you start from chapter 1?
Use chapter 39 to move on with Kafka’s story. A chapter 1 restart is an optional choice for comparing the manga and anime, not a requirement created by this mapping.
