Frieren: Beyond Journey's End: where to start the manga after season 1
Covers the original 28-episode season only. This is not the continuation point for season 2.
Chapter 61
After Frieren season 1, start the manga at chapter 61 in volume 7. Episode 28 reaches chapter 60, so the next chapter continues the journey.

What overlaps or changes?
Volume 7 includes material from the end of season 1. Use the chapter number to find your place instead of skipping the whole volume.
Should you start from chapter 1?
Continue at 61 if your goal is the next part of the story. Start at chapter 1 if you want to revisit the early journey in the original panel layouts; a full restart is a reading preference, not a prerequisite for this continuation.
