Synopsis

The Caretakers' Council is a group of dedicated servants with only one goal: to nurse terminally ill Arelyn Halbern back to health. But Arelyn is already resigned to her fate, knowing she's simply an extra in a novel meant to die young. That is, until Crown Prince Pession Allermand takes an interest in her. Now, Pession visits Arelyn daily, nagging her to eat better, play, and be more active. With the novel's male lead lending his strength, can Arelyn finally find the will to fight her illness?
