After the death of his mother, Shichimi sets out to join his step-brothers and -sister who live together in Karakuri Tenement, a place provided by the father they have never met. He finds out that each of them had different mothers (all of whom have died), but were fathered by the same man. Not long after Shichimi's arrival, the siblings decide to journey to visit the graves of each of their mothers. On this journey, they encounter many dangers.

But all he can do is stare. Then he decides to get full ownership of her, but she still doesn't really belong to Techno. Along their way on this crazy relationship, Techno's genius almost kills Hitomi multiple times. That includes making her 50 feet tall, making a replacement teacher that shoots laser beams, creating a giant slug, kidnapping her, and much more. More crazy things include a teacher that wears weird costumes, a harmless boy rebel that is wanted dead by Techno, his mom, and brother, Techno's over protective grandfather, Hitomi's friends, an android that wants Techno dead and to protect Hitomi, the 2 missiles that Techno befriended, and the rest of the class.

Shiraishi Yayoi was a relatively unremarkable school girl, although a little clumsy, before a experimental accident changed her life forever. She was forced against her will by her father, self-proclaimed genius physicist, Shiraishi Sensei into a teleporter with a cat , and like in the movie "The Fly", she combined with the cat.

Now, whenever she gets excited about anything, a pair of cat ears and a tail pop into existence. In the "catgirl" form, she has super powers, but the major drawback is that she also behaves like a cat when presented with the proper stimuli, like the sight of mice. She also has a boyfriend, but her "problem" tends to interfere in their dates since her excitement inevitably leads to her transformation into a catgirl.

This is one of Hoshisato's first series, a romantic comedy about a youthful,  energetic, and reluctant transforming high school girl hero named Saiko. A passing alien sees her courageously defending someone in a fight and is impressed with her sense of justice. He gives her a small handheld device which allows her to change into "Lady Tail", a futuristic superhero sporting a ponytail.

However, she had just recently cut her hair after her boyfriend berated her for fighting too much. When she transforms into Lady Tail, her ponytail comes back, which causes her to initially refuse the alien device. Eventually her sense of justice comes through and she begins using the device to transform into Lady Tail and assist those in need of protection.

In order to thwart the evil plans of the Telephone Pole Gang, Imazuru High School creates the Prefectural Earth Defense Force, composed of problem teachers and students from the school. They are also joined by a cyborg transfer student from India.

The Telephone Pole Gang is commanded by Chilthonian. Her staff includes Colonel Baradaki as well as Ryūko Harataki, who has taken on the role of a student at Imazuru High School.
