Shou Naruse is the second protagonist of the manga, aged 16 (at the start of the story), a year younger than the heroine. He was tall since he was a kid. He is arrogant, perverted, persistent, childish and doesn't care about what others may think. He is extremely popular, especially with girls.

He is a basketball player, a sport he has played since he was 6 years old. He is part of the high school club, of which he is the ace, although he does not seem to take the matches seriously at the beginning of the story.

He is in love with Yuki Machida, the manager of his high school's basketball club, and does not hesitate to do anything and everything to make her understand, in his own way. Despite his playboy, bratty, and cheeky appearance and mannerisms, he takes his feelings for her very seriously, and is shown being attentive to her throughout the story.

He also has an older sister named Hitomi Naruse, and a dog named Ieyasu.
